The Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics (IMAR) is one of the research institutes of the Romanian Academy, founded in 1949 and represents one of the most significant centres of the Romanian mathematical life.

IMAR has an administrative and a research staff including tenured junior and senior researchers, honorary members, PhD students, postdocs, and visitors.
