The Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy (IMAR) and the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB) are inviting applications for their joint Research in Pairs in Bucharest (RiPB) Program.
The purpose of the program is to bring together small groups of researchers to work on a specific problem. We welcome international groups of all experience level and in all areas of mathematics, both pure and applied. Projects in scientific areas connected to the scientific seminars and the research groups of the two organizing institutions are particularly encouraged.
A RiPB stage lasts one or two weeks in Bucharest and the team should have, typically, two participants. A research team of three participants is also an option.
The organizers, IMAR and UPB, provide office space, lodging in the UPB guest house, and per diem.
Applications are open all year round, in the limits of the planned yearly budget. Each proposal is studied by the members of a Scientific Committee. Once a decision is reached, if the application is successful, we will contact the main proposer to find suitable dates and make specific arrangements.
To apply, please send a short description of the research project and a CV of each participant at the email address ripb@imar.ro.
The program is developed with support from BITDEFENDER.
