Within the tradition of the collaboration between the Romanian and Finnish mathematicians, initiated by Rolf Nevanlinna (1895-1980) and Simion Stoilow (1887-1961), a conference on Complex Analysis and Related Topics, the 13th Romanian-Finnish Seminar, will take place in Ploieşti, Romania, June 26-30, 2012.

      The program is divided into sections as follows:
           1. Geometric function theory and classical complex analysis;
           2. Quasiconformal mappings, Teichmüller spaces, metric geometry and related topics in classical analysis;
           3. Potential theory and PDEs, geometric analysis, complex geometry, functional analytical methods in complex analysis.

      There will be invited and contributed lectures.

      Ploieşti is located 60 km north from Bucharest, 45 minutes by car from Bucharest-Otopeni Airport.

Conference location: Petrol-Gaze University of Ploieşti, B-dul Bucureşti, nr. 39, 100680, Ploieşti, Romania.
The opening ceremony will start on Tuesday, June 26, at 14:00h.
The registration desk will be open on Tuesday, June 26, from 11:00 a.m.
How to get there: Participants accommodated at Central, Tiara or Prahova hotels can reach the conference location (Universitatea Petrol-Gaze) by bus (bus No. 30) or by taxi.
The bus station is close to Central Hotel, in front of the post office. The university station, called UPG, is the fifth one. The price of a bus ticket is 1,6 lei (less than 0,50 euro).
The price of a taxi is about 7 lei (approx. 1,6 euro).


The participation fee is 50 Euro and should be payed at the registration desk. It covers the conference materials and the refreshments.
