Within the tradition of the collaboration between the Romanian and Finnish mathematicians, initiated by Rolf Nevanlinna (1895-1980) and Simion Stoilow (1887-1961), a conference on Complex Analysis and Related Topics, the 14th Romanian-Finnish Seminar, will take place in Bucharest, Romania, June 20-24, 2016.


The meeting is organized by

Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy,
Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Bucharest,
in cooperation with the Universities of Helsinki and Turku from Finland.

      The program is divided into sections as follows:
           1. Geometric function theory and classical complex analysis;
           2. Quasiconformal mappings, Teichmüller spaces, metric geometry and related topics in classical analysis;
           3. Potential theory and PDEs, geometric analysis, complex geometry, functional analytical methods in complex analysis.

      There will be invited and contributed lectures.

      The proceedings volume of the conference will be published in Complex Analysis and Operator Theory


      Conference location: Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy .

      The participation fee is 30 Euro or 130 lei and should be payed at the registration desk.
      The Conference Dinner will take place Wednedsay, June 22, 19:00, at the restaurant Casa Universitarilor Bucuresti , str. Dionisie Lupu nr. 46. The cost is 60 lei to be paid at the registration desk.
